The timber for the seat, was a forgotten beam, found in the back of a dusty old warehouse. After being cleaned, the magnificent hardwood timber emerged. The top and one side of the beam are planed and sanded back to smooth timber, whilst the underneath and other side are left in the original condition, producing an edgy look.

Trapezoidal shaped legs evoke a contemporary feel in contrast to a typical bench seat. The intricate connecting system creates an illusion of the metal being embedded into the wood. This bench seat is more like a work of art than a piece of furniture.

The hard wax oil finish ensures the bench seat timber will be protected as people slide on and off the seat. The timber has been triple coated so it can withstand feet being rested on it and drinks being spilt.
